Résumé : I must confess that as I very often do, I started my reading with the conclusions, and I was immediately struck by the proximity of some of the conclusions of the author to some of the conclusions I drew myself from my experience as a human rights expert in the United Nations. I was particularly interested to see how Jay Bernstein relied on article 6 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which is also article 16 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), that is, the right of everyone to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.
